I will interrogate the tensions between the production of knowledge in this particular research project and my subjective and positional identities as a novice scholar. Qualitative research offers ways to minimize power differentials through an interrogation of invisible and unexplored assumptions. It may also further embed that which it seeks to uncover if researchers are not purposeful in its use. Unable to untangle the knot of critical insights produced by the usual reflexive process, I use poetry as a reflexive healing device to explore my learning throughout this research project.</p> ER -
