Cultural Immersion from a Global Perspective: Reflections on Studying Abroad in China

Abstract

This narrative focuses on the Ghana Study Abroad program at the University of Georgia from 2002 to 2006. The real reward of this international Journey can be heard in the voices of the students, who continued to gain from such a rich educational and culturally enriched experience. This narrative is organized along the following themes: experiential, emotional, educational, empowerment and the Sankofa connection.
