Transformative Events—Transformative Stories

Abstract

In this narrative the author reflects on how events meld into transformative stories and how being out in the classroom is a political act that invites a spiritual response in that it requests the learner to acknowledge presence, understanding, and inclusion of others. The story is told in the classroom to bring lived experience to the leaming process, constructing the possibility of spiritual reflections on dominant discourses, thus creating space for human relationships to take precedence.
