What I Learned Leading Fathering Groups for Federal Detainees

Abstract

Leading a group for fathers in a federal detention facility can be transformative for the leader as well as the members of the group.  The author describes his initial trepidations about working with this population, how the group began, the potential benefits to both the leader and the fathers, and how fathering is an equalizer.
