Abstract

This paper begins with my cultural journey as a Puerto Rican woman and the experiences I sought in learning from others about their cultural perspectives. Now, as an educator, I discuss and illustrate my efforts to teach social work students the skills of applying cultural humility principles to their practice with clients and the value of curiosity and self-reflection.
