Abstract

As a young social worker in the 1970s, I worked with seriously-ill patients in a hospital setting. I discovered that my religious values and beliefs, "my Jesus thing," opened many avenues of discovery and service. This article recounts some stories of the connections between my spiritual perspective and the relationships and activities with patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
