Abstract

This article is a review of the ways that forgiveness operates in the life of the author and his clients. It is a brief discussion of how the act of forgiveness can be an antidote to shame, blame, and guilt, and how it is generally a health-giving act. Andes also includes adiscussion of ineffective forgiveness and phoney forgiveness and how these are not healthy.
