Abstract

If one is be to an effective social worker in clinical practice, family of origin issues are very critical to resolve. Being in the clinical practice since 1976 has meant facing a strenuous effort to come to terms with my own family and family of origin to help clients. Traveling extensively in Latin America for the last eight years has greatly enhanced this process.

Assistant Professor of Social Work Lock Haven University.  Traveling experience in Latin America for seven years and lived in Spain for one year.  Area of specialization cultural diversity, research, and family practice.
