Abstract

The Resilience of a Community

This article provides two perspectives of what it is like to experience a natural disaster.  One from a helping professional who was in the middle of the natural disaster and another from a second helping professional who arrived after the natural disaster to assist in the recovery process.  Reflecting on the experience can be both helpful for the healing process as well as beneficial for those who may experience a natural disaster in the future.
